National Defence Academy & Naval Academy Examination (I) 2013
(Last Date for Submission of Applications: 21.01.2013)- The Examination will be conducted by the Union Public Service Comission on 14th April, 2013 for admission to Army, Navy, Air Force wings of the NDA for the 131st Course and for the 93rd Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC) commencing from 02 January, 2014.
- The candidates would undergo 4 years B.Tech. Course at Indian Naval Academy and would be given an opportunity to join Executive and Technical Branches of the navy.
- The number of vacancies to be filled will be 300 (195 for Army, 39 for Navy and 66 for Air Force) at National Defence Academy and 55 (for Naval Academy) giving a total of 355 seats. The vacancies are provisional and may be changed depending on the training capability of the Academy..
- The candidate should specify clearly in the application form the Services for which he wishes to be considered in preference order. Candidates will be considered for appointments to those services only mentioned by them in the application form.
- Admission to the courses will be made on the results of written test followed by intelligence and personality test.
- The candidates should ensure that they fulfil all eligibility conditions for admission to the Examination. Candidates are required to apply online only by using the website www.upsconline.nic.in Detailed instructions are available on the above mentioned website.
- The online applications can be filled upto 21st January 2013 till 11.59 PM after which the link will be disabled.
- The eligible candidates shall be issued an e-Admission Certificate three weeks before the commencement of the examination. The e-Admission Certificate will be made available on the UPSC website (www.upsconline.gov.in) and no Admission Certificate will be sent by post.
- The UPSC shall prepare a list of candidates who obtain the minimum qualifying marks in the written examination to be fixed by the Commission. The shortlisted candidates shall appear before a service Selection board for Intelligence and Personality Test.
