Written Part Result of NDA & Naval Academy Exam (II) 2011 Announced

The Union Public Service Commission(UPSC) has announced the results of written part of the National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (II) 2011 held by the UPSC in August 2011. Interviews will be held by the Services Selection Board of the Ministry of Defence for admission to Army, Navy and Air Force Wings of the National Defence Academy for the 128thCourse and Naval Academy for the 90th Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC) commencing from June 30, 2012.

The candidature of all the candidates whose roll numbers are shown in the list is provisional. In accordance with the conditions of their admission to the examination, they are required to produce original certificates of Age and Educational Qualification at the time of Services Selection Board (SSB) interview. The candidates must not send the original certificates to the UPSC. The mark-sheets of the candidates, who have qualified, shall be available on the Commission’s website within fifteen days(after concluding SSB Interviews) and will remain available on the website for a period of sixty(60) days.

Written Exam Result for CDS Exam (II), 2011 Announced

The Union Service Public Commission (UPSC) has announced the results of the Combined Defence Services Examination (II) 2011 held in September, 2011. 10120 candidates have qualified for being interviewed by the Service Selection Board of the Ministry of Defence, for admission to (i) Indian Military Academy, Dehradun 133rd Course commencing in July, 2012 (ii) Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala Course commencing in July, 2012 (iii) Air Force Academy, Hyderabad (Pre-Flying) Training Course for 192nd F(P) Course commencing in July, 2012 (iv) Officers’ Training Academy, Chennai  96th  SSC Course (for Men) commencing in October, 2012 and (v) Officers’ Training Academy, Chennai, 10th SSC Women (Non-Technical) Course commencing in October, 2012. The ratio of candidates shortlisted for the examination per vacancy is 19.4.                 The candidature of all the candidates is provisional.  In accordance with the conditions of the admission to the examination, they are required to submit the original certificates in support of age (Date of Birth), educational qualifications, NCC (C) (Army Wing/Senior Division Air Wing/Naval Wing) etc. claimed by them along with attested copies thereof, to Army Headquarters, A.G.’s Branch/Rtg./CDSE Entry, West Block III, Ground Floor, Wing No. I, R.K.Puram, New Delhi-110066 in case of IMA/SSC as their first choice and to Naval Headquarters (R&R Section), Room No. 204, C-Wing, Sena Bhawan, New Delhi-110011 in case of Navy first choice, and to PO3 (A) Air Headquarters, ‘J’ Block, Room No. 17, Opp. Vayu Bhawan, Moti Lal Nehru Marg, New Delhi-110011 in case of Air Force first choice.  The original Certificates are to be submitted within two weeks of completion of the SSB Interview and not later than May 13, 2012 (1st August, 2012 in case of SSC only).  The candidates must not send the original Certificates to the Union Public Service Commission.                 In case, there is any change of address, the candidates are advised to promptly intimate directly to the Army Headquarters/Naval Headquarters/Air Headquarters as per their first preference/choice.                 The Union Public Service Commission have a Facilitation Counter in its Campus where  Candidates can obtain any information/clarification regarding this examination during working hours in person or over telephone No. 011-23385271, 011-23381125 and 011-23098543.  Result is available on PIB website i.e www.pib.nic.in and also on the U.P.S.C. website i.e. www.upsc.gov.in.                 The marks-sheet of candidates who have not qualified will be put on the Commission’s website within 30 days from declaration/publication of the Final result of OTA Course (after conducting SSB Interview) and will remain available on the website for a period of 60 days.  Click here to see Result

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the result of Geologists' Examination, 2010 based on the written examination held by in December, 2010 and the interview for Personality Test held in October, 2011. UPSC has come out with the list in order of merit, of candidates who have been recommended for appointment to the posts of :             CATEGORY-I (Posts in Geological Survey of India, Ministry of Mines)                         (a) Geologist, Group ‘A’             CATEGORY-II (Posts in the Central Ground Water Board, Ministry of Water     Resources)                         (a) Junior Hydrogeologist (Scientist B), Group ‘A’                         (b) Assistant Hydrogeologist, Group ‘B’ The total number of candidates recommended for appointment in List-I (Category-I) is 236, which include 107 General Candidates, 67 belonging to Other Backward Classes, 39  belonging to Scheduled Castes, 22  belonging to Scheduled Tribes and one PH candidate. 17 Posts in category-I were reserved for Physically Challenged candidates belonging to the category of Hearing Impairment having functional Classification Partially Deaf (PD). Only one Physically Challenged candidate of Hearing Impaired category qualified in the examination and has been included in the list. The total number of candidates recommended for appointment in List-II (Category-II) is 16, which include 8 General Candidates, 3 belonging to Other Backward Classes, 3 belonging to Scheduled Castes and 2 belonging to Scheduled Tribes category. 01 vacancy in category-II reserved for Physically Challenged (Hearing Impairment) having functional Classification Partially Deaf (PD) will remain unfilled as no eligible candidate is available against the vacancy. • The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will be conducting the Special Class Railway Apprentices Examination, 2012 at 41 Centres throughout the country on 29.01.2012 (Sunday). 
• The Commission has introduced the facility of generating e-Admission Certificate for this Examination for convenience of candidates. 
• The candidates can download their Admission Certificates from the UPSC website www.upsc.gov.in.
• Candidates are advised to take the printout of the Admission Certificate and produce the same for appearing at the allotted venue for this examination.
