Call:Central Police Forces (ACs) Examination, 2010

Call of Reserve List Candidates 
The result of the Central Police Forces (ACs) Examination, 2010 was declared vide Press Note dated 4th October, 2010 recommending 840 candidates in order of merit for appointment.

The UPSC, in accordance with the Rule 16(4) and (5) of the Central Police Forces (ACs) Examination, 2010, has also maintained a consolidated Reserve List in order of merit below the last recommended candidates.

As now sought by Ministry of Home Affairs, the Commission hereby recommends 130 candidates, which includes 48 General, 72 Other Backward Classes, 05 Scheduled Caste and 05 Scheduled Tribe to fill up the remaining posts based on Central Police Forces (ACs) Examination, 2010. A List of these candidates is enclosed. Ministry of Home Affairs would be communicating directly with the recommended candidates.

 Union Public Service Commission will be conducting the Recruitment Tests for 

(i) 36 posts of 36 posts of Deputy Director  (Admn./Insurance/Training Etc.) in ESIC and 

(ii) 08 posts of Assistant Programmer in Central Intelligence Bureau nce Bureau, at 10.00 A.M. to 12.00 NOON and 2.00 P.M. to 4.00 P.M. respectively on 04.03.20 on 04.03.2012(Sunday). 

Admission 12(Sunday). Certificates for the above mentioned two Recruitment Tests have been dispatched.

2. The information regarding venues of the Recruitment Tests is also available on Union Public Service Commission website at http://www.upsc.gov.in. The admitted candidates who do not receive the
Admission Certificates may download the “Venue Information” from the above mentioned website and use it for appearing in the Recruitment Test(s). Such candidates are advised to carry two identical photographs, duly attested by gazetted officer, otherwise they may not be allowed to take the Recruitment Test(s). They may also carry proof of their identity, such as Identity Card etc. to the venue of the Recruitment Test(s).

Results 2011: Combined Defence Services (CDS) Exam(I) 2011

• The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the final results of Combined Defence Services Examination (I). 
• A total of 356 candidates (272 *Men + 84 Women), have finally qualified on the basis of the results of the Combined Defence Services Examination (I)-2011 conducted by the UPSC and interviews held by the Services Selection Board of the Ministry of Defence for admission to the 
• (i) *Officers’ Training Academy, Chennai for 95th Short Service Commission Course (for Men) and 
• (ii) Officers’ Training Academy, Chennai 9th Short Service Commission Women (Non-Technical) Course, commencing in April, 2012. 
• The list of 95th Short Service Commission Course (for Men) also includes the names of the candidates who were recommended earlier on the basis of the result of the same examination for admission to the Indian Military Academy, Dehradun, Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala and Air Force Academy, Hyderabad (Pre-Flying) Training Course(s).
• The number of vacancies as intimated by the Government, for 
• (i) 95th Short Service Commission Course (for Men) is 175 and for 
• (ii) 9th Short Service Commission Women (Non-Technical) Course is 25.
• The result of Medical Examination of candidates has not been taken into account in preparing the merit list. The candidature of all the candidates is Provisional. Verification of date of birth and Educational Qualification of these candidates will be done by Army HQ.

Civil Services (Pre) Exam, 2012 to be Held on May 20

• The Union Service Public Commission (UPSC) will hold the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2012 on May 20, 2012 for recruitment to the Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service, Indian Police Service and certain other Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’ Central Services/Posts. The examination will be held at various centers across the country.
• For details regarding the syllabus and scheme of the examination, centers of examination, guidelines for filling up application form etc. aspirants must consult the website of the Commission (www.upsc.gov.in) from 04.02.2012. Detailed Notice of the examination is being published in the Employment News/Rozgar Samachar on 11.02.2012.

• Candidates must apply online using the website www.upsconline.nic.in. Detailed instructions for filling up online applications are available on the above-mentioned website.

Results: Indian Forest Service Examination, 2011

• On the basis of results of the written part of the Indian Forest Service Examination, 2011 held by Union Public Service Commission in July 2011, the candidates with the Roll Numbers given below have qualified for Interview for the Personality Test.
• The candidature of all these candidates is PROVISIONAL subject to their being found eligible in all respects. 
• The candidates would be required to produce the original certificates in support of their claims relating to age, educational qualification, community etc. at the time of the Personality Test. They are, therefore, advised to keep the said certificates ready with them.
• In accordance with the Rules of the examination, all these candidates are required to fill up the Detailed Application Form (DAF), which is available on the Commission’s website http://www.upsc.gov.in. All the qualified candidates are required to fill up the DAF and submit the same ONLINE. 
• The DAF will be available on the website of the Commission till 23-02-2012. 
• Important Instructions regarding filling up of the DAF and submitting the same ONLINE to the Commission are also available on the website. 
•  The qualified candidates are further advised to refer to the Rules of the Indian Forest Service Examination, 2011 published in the gazette of India, dated 19th March, 2011, which is also available on the website of the Commission.
• The candidates who have been declared successful have to first get themselves registered on the relevant page of the website before filling up the ONLINE Detailed Application Form . 
• After submitting the DAF duly filled in ONLINE, the candidates are required to take print out of the finally submitted DAF, separately and will have to send the printed copy of the DAF with each page duly signed by the candidates along with all relevant documents to:
•  Under Secretary (IFoS), Room No. 305, Ayog Sachivalaya Building , Union Public Service Commission, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi-110069 so as to reach the Commission’s office latest by 27-02-2012. 
• The envelope containing the print out of the DAF submitted ONLINE should be superscribed “DAF for Indian Forest Service Examination, 2011.” It can also be delivered at UPSC by hand till 27-02-2012 (5.00 P.M.)
• The exact date of interview will be intimated to the candidates through Interview Letter/e-mail. Roll Number wise Interview Schedule will also be made available on Commission’s Website in due course. 
• The candidates are advised to check their e-mail also for further information. 
• No request for change in the date and time of Personality Test intimated to the candidates will be entertained under any circumstances.
• The marks-sheet of candidates who have not qualified, will be put on the Commission’s Website within 15 days from the date of publication of the final result and will remain available on the website for a period of 60 days.
• The candidates can access the marks-sheets after keying in their Roll Numbers and date of birth. 
• The printed/hard copies of the marks-sheet would, however, be issued by UPSC to candidates based on specific request accompanied by a self addressed stamped envelope. 
• Candidates desirous of obtaining printed/hard copies of the marks-sheet should make the request within thirty days of the display of the marks on the Commission’s Website, beyond which such requests would not be entertained.
• The result will also be available on the UPSC Website http://www.upsc.gov.in The Union Public Service Commission have a Facilitation Counter at its campus. Candidates may obtain any information/clarification regarding their examination/ result on working days between 10.00 A.M. to 5.00 P.M. in person or over telephone Nos. (011)-23385271/23381125/23098543 from this counter.
